TET's conditions and types of meetings

Conditions to be part of the TET (an open group):

  • Talk in English in the main TET's, once a month (if you don't know English, you can always learn and improve it during TET)
  • Discuss a specific theme
  • Let the kitchen clean
  • Try to "work" for the community (to improve Portugal)

We should write e-mails in English, to practice more and maintain the spirit! Of course I'm talking about e-mails related to TET meetings.

Types of TET meetings:

1. TET official meeting, once a month, normally associated with a meal, where we speak in English and discuss a specific theme.

2. TET cultural meeting, between official TET meetings, where we speak in Portuguese and see an exposition, go to the theatre, cinema, or other things. In the end we discuss about what we saw or simply we have a nice conversation about what we want, it's more informal.

All these meetings are suggested by each person (place, time, theme, ...).

5th TET - European Union: rebuilding, remodeling, reajusting?...

Outside Granjinhos coffee/bar, after a great but not yet finished discussion!
We learn with each other, with each one knowledge, point of view and opinion.
It was an open mind discussion and I think we return home richer, like always in a TET!

4th TET

It was in Palácio do Freixo, Oporto, that happened the 4th TET. A very enthusiastic meeting, where we talk about Salvador Dali and many other things, in front of Douro's river!

3rd TET

The 3rd TET had place in Guimarães, with the hosts Vitor Hugo Abreu and Catarina Abreu.
I was able to read some opinions about it:

"TET is the greatest!
Last one, in Guimarães, was really awsome!! Too bad many of you missed it :p
Thank you, Vitor, Nuno and Mariana ;) (specially this last one, Mariana, what an expert tourist guide!).
Guimarães
, no doubt, has it all to be the craddle of our great country! (anyone disagrees?)"
Teresa

"Hi! :)
Hope you are fine. Once again, thank you for everything Mariana, Vitor Hugo and Nuno. [...]
See you soon,"
Cristina
All TETs are different but all are special!
There are no pictures of the 3rd TET , only memories!

Kiss

Santa Maria da Feira's Medieval Journey

Hi everybody!
Hope you are all doing well, and to improve your August :), I have a suggestion for this Saturday – 11th , which means we must hurry to decide if we want to do it or not...

But, first let me tell you about my suggestion and afterwards will talk about the organization issues.

It has to do with Santa Maria da Feira's Medieval Journey. I'm sure many of you have heard about it or have been there already. It is almost in the end, it closes this weekend. My suggestion is, how about joining to go there this saturday?? I sure would like that!
We could leave braga around 5:30 p.m., in order to get there still in the afternoon. That way we could see what happens in the Termas de S.Jorge, for instance, stroll around, enjoy the atmosphere, see very closelly each and every comercial stand ("banquinhas" ou "tendinhas" in portuguese... get it? ) participate in other activities and, at night, watch the called "Justas Medievais", that is medieval fights...
There are lots of things we can do. Check for your self and be quick to say if you have any interest in joining this plan. The link is:
I know it to be something absolutely worthwhile, specially because the reconstruction of medieval ages are made with such detail that it gets to be a real and very enjoyable journey in the past.
All the best to you all!
Teresa
